…then the best advice I can give you would be change your attitude and the way you think, and take responsibility for the choices you have made – they are what brought you to where you are today.
It’s NOT the fault of anyone else that you are ______(insert appropriate crappy life situation here). No matter how much it might seem that way to you. The thinking that got you here today, is not going to create a solution or better life for you.
You can sit on your backside and whine all day about your miserable, low-paying job…and what is that achieving? Do you feel better about it? Is complaining going to change the situation? NO.
The only person who can make your life better is YOU.
And that, my friend, will require you to do something different than what you have been doing up until now.
People will say and do things to you that you don’t like. That is their choice. How you react is your choice. And it is always a choice….always.
I understand it can be difficult to take responsibility, but until you do nothing will change. Stop blaming and start taking action to change the things you don’t like. You need to get out of your comfort zone to achieve great things.
It’s mid-December. Are you prepared to go through another 12 months the same as the last? If the answer to that is a clear NO, then there are simple steps you can take right now.
- Review the last 12 months. What worked and what didn’t?
- Set your intentions/goals for the next 12 months
- Start taking action NOW. Don’t wait until January 1st – get a head start on your new life!
Some of my own personal goals for the next 12 months are to develop 3 new streams of passive/semi-passive income, triple my monthly income, meditate for 15 minutes every morning and every evening, travel overseas at least once and write in a gratitude journal every day for the whole year.
